A 37 días de las elecciones, el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador informó que firmó un decreto presidencial para declarar a Chetumal, Quinta Roo, como zona libre de impuestos para productos de importación.
“Ya firmé un acuerdo para que Chetumal se convierta en zona libre, van a poder comprar todo a precio muy bajo, mercancías de todo el mundo, como era antes”, dijo López Obrador en su conferencia mañanera de este viernes 26 de abril en Palacio Nacional.
López Obrador recordó que la capital de Quintana Roo fue muy importante desde el punto de vista del comercio: “Era tan importante Chetumal, desde el punto de vista del comercio, que iban de todo el sureste a comprar; por eso en la comida yucateca está el queso de bola (queso holandés)”.
El Presidente refirió que este fin de semana estará de gira de trabajo en el sureste del país para supervisar los avances de la construcción del Tren Maya, que ya funciona de Palenque a Cancún y de Cancún a Playa del Carmen.
