La presidenta del Congreso justificó las filtraciones por el diseño del techo verde, mientras el recinto enfrenta críticas por su infraestructura.
Ante la circulación en redes sociales de videos e imágenes sobre las “cascadas” en el Congreso del Estado, la presidenta de la Junta de Gobierno y Coordinación Política (Jugocopo), Laura Artemisa García Chávez, aclaró que las filtraciones observadas se deben a la presencia de un ecosistema natural en el techo verde del Congreso, conformado por árboles, tierra y vegetación.
La legisladora reconoció que el inmueble inaugurado en noviembre de 2024 con una inversión de 855 millones de pesos presenta deficiencias estructurales, pero se justificó diciendo que las condiciones del techo verde complican el drenaje del agua durante las lluvias intensas.
“Este edificio tiene una gran cantidad de árboles y tierra arriba, hay un ecosistema. Eso genera que las bajadas de agua sean insuficientes y, con las lluvias que tenemos hoy, se producen filtraciones como las que vimos”, explicó García Chávez.
Empresa constructora responde a reportes de mantenimiento en el techo verde.
Durante su declaración, la presidenta del Congreso aseguró que han mantenido comunicación constante con la empresa constructora, la cual según dijo, ha atendido los reportes de mantenimiento durante el primer año de funcionamiento del recinto.
“Entendemos que, como edificios nuevos, todavía hay detalles que van saliendo, sobre todo ahora que probamos en la temporada de lluvias. Pero ya estamos revisando puntualmente todo lo que se ha ido observando para buscar una solución permanente”, añadió.
Pese a las promesas, las goteras volvieron a aparecer el pasado 6 de octubre, obligando al personal del Congreso a improvisar medidas de emergencia con cubetas y botes de basura para contener el agua que se filtraba por los techos y muros del lobby principal.
Es de recordar que en junio pasado, García Chávez había asegurado que las filtraciones estaban siendo reparadas y que el edificio estaría en óptimas condiciones antes de la temporada de lluvias.
“Es grave. Esas cascadas que tenemos adentro son de observar y de buscar soluciones. Hay que modificar lo que se tenga que modificar para que esto no vuelva a pasar”, expresó la legisladora.
La nueva sede del Congreso, construida durante la administración del exgobernador Sergio Salomón Céspedes Peregrina, ha sido polémica por su alto costo, las deficiencias en su infraestructura y el uso de sus espacios para actividades ajenas a la labor legislativa, como clases de yoga durante el receso parlamentario.
