La Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) informó que la Interpol emitió una ficha roja para localizar y detener a Simón Levy Dabbah, exsubsecretario de Planeación y Política Turística, quien ahora es buscado en más de 100 países. La medida busca que, en caso de ser localizado, sea extraditado a México para enfrentar un proceso legal.
La solicitud fue promovida por la Agencia de Investigación Criminal y la Unidad de Asuntos Policiales Internacionales, derivada de la causa penal 02565/2020, en la que se acusa a Levy de daño doloso a la propiedad. La denuncia inicial fue presentada en 2019 por Emma Yolanda Santos, quien lo responsabilizó por incumplir un convenio relacionado con un inmueble en Polanco, Ciudad de México. El conflicto comenzó con un acuerdo de mediación por la construcción de un edificio que presuntamente no se concretó y escaló a procedimientos legales. En 2021, un video que circuló en redes mostró a Levy golpeando la puerta del departamento de la denunciante, reforzando las acusaciones.
Simón Levy Dabbah, nacido en 1979 en la Ciudad de México, es abogado especializado en Comercio Exterior por la UNAM. Ha ocupado cargos como director de ProCDMX (2012-2018), subsecretario de Planeación y Política Turística en 2018 y ha impulsado proyectos de exportación a China, así como participado en el Consejo Consultivo de Economía.
Recientemente, Levy aseguró que el Departamento de Estado de Estados Unidos había revisado su expediente y eliminado registros adversos, garantizando sus derechos humanos. Con la ficha roja, la FGR busca que sea detenido y entregado a México para continuar con el proceso penal, que sigue abierto bajo seguimiento nacional e internacional.
