La Junta de Gobierno de la Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV) decretó la intervención gerencial temporal de CIBanco e Intercam, luego de las acusaciones por lavado de dinero por parte del gobierno de Estados Unidos.
“La intervención tiene el objetivo de sustituir a sus órganos administrativos y a sus representantes legales con el propósito de salvaguardar los derechos de los ahorradores y clientes de dichas instituciones, dadas las implicaciones que en estos bancos puedan tener las medidas anunciadas por el Departamento del Tesoro de Estados Unidos de América”, indicó.
En un breve comunicado, la CNBV dijo que las autoridades financieras mantienen la confianza en la solidez y resiliencia del sistema financiero mexicano.
Afirmó que seguirán trabajando en coordinación permanente para continuar propiciando la estabilidad, integridad y correcto funcionamiento del sistema.
