Michoacán.- La presidenta municipal de Tepalcatepec, Michoacán, Martha Laura Mendoza Mendoza y su esposo, Ulises Sánchez Ochoa, fueron asesinados a tiros afuera de su domicilio.
Los reportes preliminares, señalan que un sujeto bajó de un vehículo particular y disparó en contra de la alcaldesa, de su esposo y de otra persona más que resultó lesionada.
El crimen ocurrió afuera del domicilio particular de Martha Laura Mendoza, ubicado sobre la calle Francisco Villa, de la colonia Centro, de ese municipio de la Tierra Caliente.

Apenas el jueves de la semana pasada, un grupo fuertemente armado del Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación, atacó desde afuera, la cabecera municipal de Tepalcatepec.
La Policía Municipal contuvo la ofensiva e impidió el avance e irrupción de esa organización criminal, hasta que llegaron como refuerzo, elementos del Ejército Mexicano y de la Guardia Nacional.
De esa embestida delictiva, no hubo reportes de civiles ni oficiales lesionados o fallecidos.
Suman dos alcaldes asesinados en menos de un mes.
Apenas el pasado 5 de junio, el presidente municipal de Tacámbaro, Salvador Bastida García y de su escolta, fueron asesinados a tiros a bordo de su camioneta.
La Fiscalía estatal, indicó, que ese día, de acuerdo a los datos obtenidos de manera preliminar, poco antes de las 24:00 horas, el alcalde llegaba a su domicilio ubicado en la calle Fuerte de Loreto, de la colonia Centro, cuando fue atacado a balazos por varios sujetos.
En el lugar y a bordo de la camioneta doble cabina en que viajaba, murió el policía de la Guardia Civil, Pastor C., quien realizaba funciones de escolta.
En el lugar, el alcalde (del Partido del Trabajo) resultó herido, por lo que fue auxiliado y trasladado al hospital María Zendejas, donde minutos después se confirmó su fallecimiento.
