Ambos candidatos encabezan la lista de preferencias a la presidencia del Máximo Tribunal.
El conteo de votos en la elección judicial continúa y en la carrera por ocupar el cargo a la presidencia de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN), al corte de las 12:30 horas del lunes 2 de junio, dos candidatos aventajan la contienda.
Una de ellos es Lenia Batres Guadarrama, quien actualmente es ministra de la Segunda Sala del Máximo Tribunal, pero quien también aventaja a los demás ministros, incluso a la hermana del titular del ISSSTE, es Hugo Aguilar Ortiz, abogado de origen mixteco y actual coordinador General de Derechos Indígenas del Instituto Nacional de los Pueblos Indígenas (INPI).
Batres Guadarrama encabeza los números en preferencias en la lista de candidatas mujeres, con 2 millones 886 mil 118 votos, mientras que Aguilar Ortiz tiene más de 3 millones de votos, cifra que lo lleva a la delantera de ambos géneros.
Aunque aún no termina el conteo de votos, el INE reporta que éste lleva un avance de 57.8%, es decir, un total de 48 mil 790 de 84 mil 266 actas computadas.
De acuerdo con la página del Cómputo Distrital Judicial 2025 del Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE), participación ciudadana, hasta el momento, es de 11.41%.
