La violencia volvió a irrumpir en esta ciudad con un asalto a mano armada registrado la mañana de este lunes en la sucursal bancaria de Banamex, ubicada en pleno centro de Izúcar.
Dos personas resultaron lesionadas por impactos de arma de fuego durante el atraco, perpetrado por una pareja que se hizo pasar por cuentahabientes para ingresar al inmueble.
Según versiones preliminares, los agresores —un hombre y una mujer— aprovecharon el horario de mayor afluencia para irrumpir en el banco, simulando ser clientes.
Una vez dentro, desenfundaron sus armas y amagaron a los presentes con el fin de despojarlos de su dinero.
En el intento, dispararon contra al menos dos personas, quienes fueron trasladadas de urgencia a un hospital de la región.
El hecho generó pánico entre usuarios y trabajadores, además de evidenciar nuevamente la crítica situación de seguridad en Izúcar de Matamoros, una ciudad que enfrenta una creciente ola delictiva. Cabe destacar que los lunes coinciden con día de plaza, lo que incrementa el flujo de capital, ya que muchas personas acuden a realizar depósitos, retiros o cobrar remesas enviadas desde Estados Unidos.
Elementos de la Policía Municipal, Estatal y Guardia Nacional implementaron un operativo para dar con los responsables, sin que hasta el momento se haya informado de personas detenidas. La Fiscalía General del Estado ya investiga los hechos.
La población exige mayor vigilancia, particularmente en zonas comerciales y bancarias, donde se ha vuelto habitual el robo con violencia.
