Ricardo Monreal, coordinador de Morena en la Cámara de Diputados fue grabado mientras informaba sobre una negociación entre el PAN y Morena para vetar a los hijos del expresidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador de las elecciones.
En un video presentado por la periodista Azucena Uresti durante su programa matutino en Radio Fórmula, se ve al coordinador morenista hablando de negociaciones entre el PAN y Morena.
En las imágenes grabadas durante un taller de lectura, se escucha al coordinador de Morena admitir que hubo una negociación no autorizada para que los morenistas ganaran apoyo para la Presidenta y su reforma contra el nepotismo y que entrará en vigor a partir del 2027 y no hasta el 2030.
«Caímos en la trampa de algunos de la oposición. Nos buscaron sin autorización del grupo, y le dicen, yo traigo 100 votos, a mí me dijo Döring, a cambio de que los López estén 10 años fuera, órale, pero cómo vas a negociar eso», dijo el morenista.
Sin embargo, más tarde en conferencia de prensa, Monreal negó saber de dicha negociación y aseguró que él no había hablado con el diputado Döring .
“No sé de qué me habla y la verdad es que soy un hombre de los clásicos y no he hablado con Federico Döring (PAN). Tendría que preguntarle a él con quién habló. No sé de cuáles 100 votos ni tampoco sé de los apellidos López”, declaró.

El pasado 4 de marzo se aprobó en lo general la reformar la Constitución para prohibir el nepotismo electoral, pero hasta la elección federal de 2030, y no en 2027 como planteó originalmente la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum.
La modificación también prohíbe la reelección de diputados federales, senadores, diputados locales, presidentes municipales, regidores y síndicos de los ayuntamientos.
