El gobernador Alejandro Armenta y la Conferencia Nacional de Gobernadoras y Gobernadores (CONAGO) expresaron su apoyo a la presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum y a las acciones que emprenda para defender a los sectores productivos del país.
Lo anterior, tras la decisión del Gobierno de Estados Unidos de imponer aranceles a las exportaciones mexicanas desde este 4 de marzo, luego de que las negociaciones para evitarlos no dieran resultado.
Asimismo, señalaron que, dicha medida, impactará negativamente a la economía de ambos países, lo que afectará al comercio, la inversión y el empleo en múltiples sectores.
“Desde la CONAGO, manifestamos nuestro respaldo al Gobierno de México en la acciones que emprenda para defender a los sectores productivos del país y proteger a los trabajadores y consumidores de ambas naciones”, se lee en el comunicado.
A su vez, hicieron un llamado a la unidad nacional y sumarse al pronunciamiento de la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum sobre la relación entre México y Estados Unidos, la cual debe basarse en respeto mutuo, diálogo y la cooperación.
Lo anterior, luego de que México es un socio estratégico para el crecimiento de Norteamérica y medidas unilaterales como la imposición de aranceles, afectan a millones de empresas en ambos lados de la frontera.
