CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (apro) .- Luego de que se aprobará que la reforma sobre la no reelección y nepotismo entre en vigor en 2030, por senadores morenistas y aliados, el coordinador de la bancada de morena en el San Lázaro, Ricardo Monreal, respaldó la propuesta original de la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum, de que se realice en el 2027.
En entrevista en la Cámara de Diputados, el legislador morenista detalló que los diputados aprobarían la iniciativa como la envía la Cámara de origen, sin embargo, no descartó cambios en la minuta por parte de las comisiones en San Lázaro.
“No existe esa figura jurídica en esa materia. Ahora, con la reforma se instituye una nueva definición de nepotismo, y yo diría que es nepotismo electoral, porque son puestos de elección popular los que se prohíben a familiares. Y si fuera 2027 yo no tengo ningún problema en por qué sea así, pero las comisiones van a dictaminar.
“Espero que aquí la Comisión la reflexione, pero no me adelanto a sus juicios ni a sus discusiones, que serán muy interesantes a partir de ahora que se pueda reunir. A dos comisiones se turnó: a la Comisión de Puntos Constitucionales y a la de Reforma Electoral”, detalló.

El diputado también negó que su familia esté ejerciendo nepotismo por los cargos que ocupan, como su hermano David Monreal, gobernador de Zacatecas y su hermano, Saúl Monreal, como senador, ya que sus puestos fueron logrados democráticamente.
“El nepotismo se da cuando se da cuando un superior jerárquico beneficia a una persona que es su familiar. En este caso, mis hermanos, tanto el gobernador de Zacatecas, como el senador Saúl, son por elección popular; es decir, la gente decidió y ahí no hay, en el estricto sentido, nepotismo, porque tendría que dependerse tanto el gobernador como el senador de una persona que fuera su familiar jerárquico.
El diputado morenista también dio a conocer que el dictamen lo discutirán la próxima semana en el Pleno, después de que sea aprobado en las comisiones respectivas.
