La Presidenta confía en que “los jueces tengan todavía la decencia de respetar la libertad de expresión”.
La presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo confió en que no procedan las demandas del empresario Ricardo Salinas Pliego en contra de periodistas afines a la 4T, y llamó a que se respete la libertad de expresión.
En su conferencia mañanera de este viernes 21 de febrero en Palacio Nacional, Sheinbaum Pardo también lanzó una crítica al empresario.
“Pues espero que el juez no proceda porque una cosa es presentar una denuncia y otra que un juez haga eco de una denuncia que no tiene razón de ser, pero tiene la concesión de una televisora. Imagínense si fuera al revés, que cada vez que dice una mentira alguna persona, pues viene una denuncia, una denuncia.
“Yo espero que haya jueces todavía en el Poder Judicial; es una demanda civil, supongo. Pues (que los jueces) tengan todavía la decencia de respetar la libertad de expresión. Obviamente no estoy de acuerdo y esperamos que el juez actúe en el marco de lo que establece la Constitución y las leyes”, expresó.
En el Salón Tesorería, la titular del Ejecutivo federal aprovechó para mandarle un mensaje a Salinas Pliego: “¿Qué no él habla de las libertades? Pues libertad de expresión la primera ¿no?”.
No descartó que su gobierno pueda ejercer medidas para proteger a los comunicadores afines a la 4T: “Lo que haga falta para defender la libertad de expresión”.
