El gobernador Alejandro Armenta Mier y la CONAGO reafirmaron la disposición de fortalecer la soberanía nacional y reforzar el combate al tráfico de armas en México.
El gobernador Alejandro Armenta y la Conferencia Nacional de Gobernadoras y Gobernadores (CONAGO), expresaron su apoyo a las iniciativas de reforma de la presidenta de México Claudia Sheinbaum a los artículos 19 y 40 de la Constitución Política.
A través de sus redes sociales el mandatario y la CONAGO reafirmaron la disposición de fortalecer la soberanía nacional y reforzar el combate al tráfico de armas en México.
“Desde la CONAGO, las y los gobernadores del país modificamos nuestro respaldo a estas iniciativas, reconocemos la necesidad de fortalecer el marco constitucional en materia de soberanía y seguridad”, se lee en el comunicado.
Asimismo, indicaron que con esta modificación se endurecen las penas contra los extranjeros involucrados en la fabricación, tráfico y distribución de armas ilegales, combatiendo de frente un delito que tanto daño ha causado a las comunidades.
De la misma manera, las reformas propuestas a los artículos 19 y 40 de la Constitución Política tienen como objetivo garantizar que México siga siendo una nación libre, soberana e independiente.
Finalmente, la CONAGO hizo un llamado a los Poderes de la Unión para que estas reformas sean analizadas, aprobadas con responsabilidad y compromiso, a fin de proteger a la población y al territorio.
