El percance, registrado a la altura del kilómetro 178+600 con dirección a Puebla, involucró a una camioneta de 3.5 toneladas y una vagoneta.
De acuerdo con los primeros reportes, el choque ocurrió alrededor de las 05:00 horas. Testigos señalaron que las víctimas son originarias del municipio de Tehuacán, Puebla.
El accidente provocó un cierre parcial de circulación, generando largas filas de hasta cuatro kilómetros de vehículos pesados y particulares.
Personal de emergencias y de las autoridades viales se encuentra en la zona realizando labores de atención y retiro de las unidades involucradas.
