Manuel «N» fue detenido tras el homicidio de Jesús Franco Larraga y tres personas más; se mantiene un operativo para esclarecer el caso.
Tras el asesinato del presidente municipal de Tancanhuitz, Jesús Franco Larraga y tres personas más la noche del domingo, personal de la Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana, así como de la Fiscalía General del Estado confirmaron a EL UNIVERSAL que en las últimas horas se logró la captura de uno de los presuntos implicados en el asesinato.
De acuerdo a lo informado, el detenido se trata de Manuel N., quien se encuentra a disposición de la FGE para que se realicen las investigaciones pertinentes y se deslinden responsabilidades.
Manuel “N”, es ex diputado local y también fue presidente municipal de Tancanhuitz durante el período 2009 – 2012. Posteriormente también abanderado por segunda ocasión por el Partido Acción Nacional, fue diputado local. Durante este período fue detenido por la portación de 445 cartuchos calibre .223, usados para fusiles de asalto AK-47 y R-15, sin embargo al contar con fuero y tras negar acusaciones en su contra por supuesto tráfico de armas, fue puesto en libertad.
En 2021 también participó en los comicios electorales, de la mano del ex candidato a la gubernatura, Octavio Pedroza, Aguilar Acuña busco de nueva cuenta la presidencia municipal de la demarcación municipal.
Durante esta mañana se mantiene un intenso operativo de seguridad en la zona huasteca, por lo que se presume podrían surgir más detenciones en las próximas horas ya que, de acuerdo al personal de los cuerpos de seguridad, uno de los miembros de Cabildo también es buscado por su posible participación en el ataque armado.
