El aguacate de los productores mexicanos es líder en producción y exportación a nivel mundial con 1.68 millones de toneladas anuales, con los estados de Michoacán y Jalisco como principales exportadores.
La Alianza Nacional de Pequeños Comerciantes (ANPEC) denunció este lunes que el precio del aguacate subió 40% en los últimos dos meses como consecuencia de violencia del crimen organizado y la suspensión temporal de la exportación de este fruto a Estados Unidos.
“El flagelo de la inseguridad, que hoy en día lamentablemente tiende a normalizarse, es un factor que provoca una mayor inflación y termina por impactar la economía familiar”, señaló la ANPEC en un comunicado el que refleja que la Canasta Básica Alimentaria (CBA) ha aumentado su valor promedio en casi 19 pesos (1.05 dólares).El organismo empresarial recordó que a mediados de junio pasado Estados Unidos suspendió las inspecciones al aguacate en Michoacán, estado que lidera la producción nacional de este fruto, por problemas de seguridad después de agresiones contra dos funcionarios estadounidenses.
“Pandillas criminales amedrentaron y secuestraron a los inspectores de comercio que vinieron de Estados Unidos a nuestras tierras a verificar y validar el cultivo y la cosecha del oro verde”, refirió la organización al respecto.En su pronunciamiento, la ANPEC lamentó los efectos resultantes de dichas acciones.»El aguacate ha incrementado su precio desmedidamente en el mercado local, encareciéndose su costo en más de 40% en los últimos dos meses”, afirmó Cuauhtémoc Rivera, presidente del organismo, que puntualizó que estas consecuencias inflacionarias tuvieron lugar pese al restablecimiento del comercio con Norteamérica.
