El presidente de México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), anunció este lunes que está elaborando un informe sobre el caso Ayotzinapa, el cual entregará a los padres de los normalistas desaparecidos la noche del 26 de septiembre de 2014.
El mandatario explicó que el documento estará finalizado antes de que concluya su sexenio. Mencionó que él personalmente ha estado involucrado en la integración del expediente.
López Obrador indicó que el caso Ayotzinapa ha estado “enmarañado” por diversos intereses, y su objetivo es “clarificarlo”.
“Estoy haciendo un reporte personal que entregaré a los padres el 3 de julio. Este asunto se enmarañó mucho por los intereses y lo que estoy haciendo es clarificándolo. Me gusta la investigación y me llama la atención, por eso estoy metido”, afirmó.
En relación con el caso Ayotzinapa, el presidente rechazó que su gobierno esté protegiendo a soldados y militares del Ejército Mexicano, así como a cualquier funcionario público involucrado en este caso o durante su administración.
López Obrador argumentó que las acusaciones contra elementos de la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (Sedena) buscan desprestigiar y debilitar a la institución castrense, la cual, según él, “protege a los mexicanos”.
AMLO aclaró que, aunque los reglamentos de la Sedena incluyan asistencia jurídica para sus oficiales y soldados, esto no implica que se estén protegiendo a militares en el caso Ayotzinapa.
“Nosotros no protegemos a nadie y no lo hace la Sedena ni la Marina”, concluyó en el Salón Tesorería de Palacio Nacional.
