El presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador reveló que en su retiro, al dejar la Presidencia de México, no vivirá en Palenque, Chiapas, con su esposa, la doctora Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller.
En su conferencia mañanera de este martes 18 de junio en Palacio Nacional, López Obrador repitió que no recibirá a nadie: “Yo ya me retiro por completo, voy a atender a mi familia, y eso, ya les dije, no se habla de política. Yo voy a estar trabajando en mi investigación por el México prehispánico”.
“Ya estoy reuniendo mi bibliografía básica, mis libros básicos, como 80-100, porque no quiero salir a buscar un texto o no quiero ir a un archivo, no quiero ir a una biblioteca y que me tomen una foto. ¡No!

En mayo pasado, ante supuestas versiones en redes sociales de un divorcio al final de su sexenio, el presidente López Obrador rechazó que se vaya a separar de su esposa.
Refirió que al terminar su gobierno, se retirará de la vida pública en Palenque, mientras que Gutiérrez Müller seguirá trabajando como investigadora.
“Ella va a continuar con su trabajo, eso sí, ella es maestra, es investigadora y va a seguir. Y yo voy también a lo que me corresponde. Y entre los dos, a cuidar a Jesús (su hijo menor) que acaba de cumplir 17 años”, señaló el pasado 7 de mayo en su mañanera.
